To investigate the role and importance of iinmun system on the pathogenesis of uncomplicated RUTIs, 24 children with uncomplicated RUTIs (21 girls, 3 beys; age 5.81.0 years) were studied in the present study.

Absolute Natural Killer (NK), CD4, CD8 counts and CD4/CD8 ratios were not different from healthy children's values.

While patients' IgG levels were found significantly higher than control group (p<0.01) both ; serum IgM and IgA levels were similar in two groups. Serum IgG2 and IgG3 levels of patients' were also found significantly higher than control group (p<0.01). However there was no difference between serum IgG I levels of two groups.

Urinary slgA levels were significantly higher in patients compared with healthy controls (p<0.01). No correlation was found between urinary slgA levels and serum IgA levels, the number of culture positivity, age of patients.

In conclusion, it is imposible to explain the mechanisms that take part on the pathogenesis of uncomplicated RUTIs with only one reason. We suggest that on the pathogenesis of uncomplicated RUTIs, immun system is normal, but further studies are necessary for the evaluation of IgG subgroups' role.t neutrophil counts and phagocytic functions of patients were normal.
