Renal function abnormalities are frequently seen in patients who have an operation during preoperative and postoperative period. There may be deficiencies at management of therapy during preoperative and postoperative period, because differential diagnosis canÕt be done sufficiently in patients who have renal function abnormality. These deficiencies cause complications and as a result, enhance morbidity and mortality.

In our review, we aimed to light the way for the differential diagnosis and treatment of patients who have renal function abnormality during perioperative period.
