Combined heart-kidney transplantation is an accepted therapeutic option for patients with end-stage heart disease associated with severely impaired renal function. In literature there is not a consensus about the long term outcome of this procedure. We report a 36-year old male patient with end stage heart failure due to ischemic heart diease and chronic renal failure with unknown etiology who received a combined heart and kidney transplantation provided by the same donor. The patient has been followed up for six months after the operation with no major complication. This is the second such successful operation in Turkey.
