Kidney may be affected by many types of systemic disease and play an important role on the diagnosis and treatment of these systemic illnesses. Many immuncomplex diseases like systemic lupus 'erythematosus (SLE), Henoch Schönlein purpura (HSP) may show some renal vasculitic lesions but renal involvement is particularly frequent especially in some forms of systemic necrotizing vasculitis like Wegener granulomatosis, microscopic polyangiitis including its renal limited variant. In this study we evaluated retrospectively the 660 renal biopsy specimens and we aimed to investigate the etiology, clinical presentation, serology and histopathologic findings of the 23 patients whose biopys specimens showed renal vasculitic lesions.
