We aim to study infection of Transfusion Transmitted virus and associated with HGV and HCV on hemodialysis patients with chronic renal failure.

This study was performed on 50 hemodialysis patients (30 male, 20 female) that are on routine hemodialysis program in Uludağ University Hemodialysis Centre and 100 healthy blood donors as the control group (45 female, 55 male). The average ages of patients and healthy groups were 39+14 and 34+9.2 respectively. In healthy blood donor group TTV was only studied and TTV positivity was found to be 12%. TTV positivity of patients was 36% and associated with HCV and HGV were 25.4 % and 27.9 % respectively. As a result, TTV positivity in hemodialysis patients was statistical)' significant when compaired with healthy blood donors(P<0.05). Association of TTV with HGV and HCV was not found to be statistical}' significant.
