Acute renal infarction secondary to atrial fibrillation is a rare clinical condition. Its clinical presentation
can be confused with other diseases with similar initial symptoms, and this may delay the diagnosis
and treatment. Our purpose is to increase awareness of this condition so that it is considered in the
diagnosis. Here we report a case of bilateral renal infarction causing acute renal failure in the setting of
persistent atrial fibrillation.
